SBA - Business Economics

The School of Business Administration (SBA) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco seeks qualified applicants to fill a full-time faculty position in Business Economics. A Ph.D. in Economics, Applied Economics or a related field is required. Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level depending on individual credintials and experience. Evidence of an active research agenda and willingness to fulfill faculty service expectations to SBA and to the University are also required. As AUI is a liberal arts institution, students come from a variety of disciplines and majors across the University.

Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane is fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) and the BBA program is accredited by EFMD. The School is also in the process of seeking AACSB accreditation. As the only English language institution of higher education in Morocco, and only the second U.S.-accredited university in Africa. AUI is a beacon of the liberal arts in the MENA region and is a unique higher education offering in Morocco. The University remains on-track with its ambitious current strategic plan to double the institutional size to 5,000 students by 2025, combined with a strong commitment to enhanced academic quality.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview on Microsoft Teams and may be invited to offer a 30- minute demonstration class pending results of the initial interview. The successful candidate will be expected to assume this position on 21 August 2023.
