The Al Akhawayn University men’s soccer team

The Al Akhawayn University men’s soccer team has won first place (the gold medal) at the Euro-Valencia international university sports tournament held in Valencia, Spain, November 11-15, 2010. The 14-man Al Akhawayn team competed against university teams from Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Switzerland, Germany, and Russia, triumphing against Italy, France, and Spain on the road to the final match, in which Al Akhawayn beat Cus Milano (Biccoca) 3-0

Moncef Lahlou

Al Akhawayn University Language Center Director Moncef Lahlou served on a panel on "Quality Assurance and Institutional Reporting" at the second annual conference of the Middle East and North Africa Association of International Research held at the American University of Beirut, in Lebanon, during the first week of November 2010. The theme of the conference was "Driving Change in Higher Education in the MENA Region." The association promotes best practices in higher education, assessment, institutional research, professional development, quality assurance, and increased collaboration and experience-sharing

Abderrahim Agnaou, Language Center faculty member and accreditation coordinator, is giving a public lecture on Oct. 29 at the Second Regional Conference on Program and Learning Assessment in Higher Education, organized by the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon. Soukeina Mouline

Soukeina Mouline (Class of 2012, Business Administration), has won third place in the 2010 International Essay Competition organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).
