Note to all participating students (posted May 26, 2004):

****** Arrival ******

If you didn't send us information about your arrival schedule, please inform Dr. H. Dahrmaoui by e-mail as soon as possible (e-mail : H.Darhmaoui@alakhawayn.ma) about all the details of your travel: name of the airline(s), flight number(s) as well as your arrival time (date and hour)

All  information concerning your transfer from the airport to the university will be sent to you by Dr. H. Dahrmaoui.
 

****** Travel ******

The expenses related to your travel (and visa), will be reimbursed to you during the ISYA, the amount of your travel expenses have already been
communicated to Dr. M. Gerbaldi.
 

****** Participants Talks ******

Time will be given to you to present your own research or your field(s) of interest (about 20 minutes).
Bring the necessary documents (overheads, slides, powerpoint presentation, etc) for such presentations.
You are strongly encouraged to prepare such a talk.

****** Local arrangments ******

The ISYA is taking place at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, the accomodations are on this university campus (boarding and lodging)

All the expenses related to the living cost (during school period) and any necessary local transportation are paid by the Moroccan sponsors and the IAU.

Please note that the altitude of the campus is around 1600 meters. Morning and evening can be chilly, as well as nights.

Observations are planned with a small telescope ----> Bring a flash light.

Access to e-mail facilities will be organised.

Access to the sport complex including a swimming pool*   is possible during the ISYA, if you intend to use it, bring your own equipment: bathing costume and dedicated shoes for indoor and outdoor sport activities.
*(there is a nominal fee for swimming pool access, a swimming head cover is compulsory )

Trips to some historical places will also be organized.
