I'm an Assistant Professor at the Center for Academic Development at Al Akhawayn University, where I conduct research and teach courses in interpersonal commu-nication skills, critical thinking skills, and information literacy skills. I am also teaching technical commu-nication at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I received my PhD in English Language and Linguistics in May 2005 from The University of Wisconsin in Madison, where I also completed my MA in Applied Linguistics thanks to a Fulbright scholarship awarded to me by the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE). While in the US,
I taught English and linguistics courses to a wide array of learners, including international students, native speakers of American English, graduate students as well as student teachers. My research interests include intercultural communication, adult literacy, conversation analysis, computer assisted learning, and nonverbal communication. |
