This service is provided by the CAD and is situated in Building 10, Room 10.  Students of all levels and disciplines are encouraged to use this service.  The Writing Consultants at the Writing Center give advice that helps students express themselves in writing, particularly in their graded assignments.  The Center aims to encourage students to develop their powers of self-expression thus enabling them to produce well-written and well-presented assignments.  Assistance is provided by professors from CAD, Language Center, and the Schools, as well as students.

Advice is given on document formatting using acceptable international conventions, such as those specified by the APA and MLA.

Advice can also be given on the production of Curricula Vitae (résumés) and the writing of application letters for employment in English or French.

The Center is generally open Monday through Friday from 9 :00 a.m. to 6 :00 p.m. and is equipped with computer facilities that students can use to compose, edit  and print their assignments.
