Start with your screen on the Windows desktop. Then follow the
instructions and write the results.
On your keyboard, press the key with the Windows trademark
on it.

Do Step 1 again. Put your pointer over the word "Programs",
then "Microsoft Word". Click on Microsoft Word. What
happens?
Leave the Word program open.
Do Step 1 again. Find "Microsoft Excel" in "Programs."
Click on it. Leave the program open.
Hold down Alt, then press Esc [Échap] (Alt-Esc). What
happens?
By typing Alt-Esc bring the Word window to the front. With
your mouse, place the cursor in the document. Type the words "Here
is an example of a graphic." Press the Enter key. Press the
Print Screen key [Imprimez écran]. Hold down Ctrl and press
V (Ctrl-V). What happens?
Click once on the graphic. Place your cursor over the lower
right corner and drag the corner toward the center of the graphic.
What happens?
Place your cursor in the middle of the line of text you typed.
Press Home [Pos 1]. Press End [Fin]. Use an arrow key to position
the cursor just before the word "graphic." Press the
Ins [Inser] key once and type the words "screen capture."
What happens?
Press the Insert key again. Use the backspace key
to remove the word "capture." Type the word "grab".
With the cursor still positioned at the end of the line of
text, hold the Shift key down and use an arrow key to highlight
the text. Type Alt-E. What happens?
Type Ctrl-X. Then use keys or the mouse to position the cursor
after the graphic. Type Ctrl-V. What happens?
Now type Ctrl-Alt-Delete [Suppr]. What do you see?
