Detach the Word document from the email message your teacher has
sent you. Read the attachment and complete the task. When you are
finished, write a formal email message to your teacher saying that
you have completed the task. Attach the Word document you have created
to the email message.
Detaching an email attachment
In the iNotes welcome menu, click on Mail.
When the Mail menu opens, double click on the message with
an attachment that you would like to detach.
If you would like to save the file without opening it, click
on the icon that looks like a floppy disk. When the Browse for
Folder dialogue box appears, navigate to the folder you want to
save the attachment in (for example, a folder on your network
partition).
If you want to open the attachment directly within iNotes,
you can double click on the attachment icon. The appropriate application
will open and then the file will open. To save it, choose File
and then Save As . . . Navigate to the folder you want
to save the attachment in (for example, a folder on your network
partition).
Attaching a file to an email message
In the iNotes welcome menu, click on Mail.
When the mail menu opens, click on "New" and then "Message".
When the New Message window opens, remember that you must include
a complete email message even if you are sending an attachment.
This means a subject line, saluation, message (usually indicating
what the attached file is for), closing and signature.
At the bottom of the New Message window there is a dialogue
box that allows you to attach files. Click on the icon that looks
like a folder. This will allow you to navigate to the file that
you want to attach and send.
Find the file you want to attach and select it. Then click
on Open and the file icon and file name will appear in the window.
This file will now be sent when you send the email message.
