Description
Present an academic project using PowerPoint and Excel. You will base your presentation on a short academic report. You will use the report along with data given below to design the presentation. You will need to develop six (6) PowerPoint slides to represent the information to an academic audience. This project is worth 15% of your final grade.
Instructions
Part 1: Read the Report
Look carefully at the word document linked to your Section below. Your presentation will be based on this report, and the Data Sets that follow it. Sections of 1203 are assigned reports as follows:

Part 2: PowerPoint
Build a PowerPoint Document
Build a PowerPoint
presentation document which you could use to present the important
points from the report to an audience of other students.
The presentation
must have at least six slides:
- a title slide
- an outline slide identifying the main topics you will discuss in your presentation
- a slide showing a table created from the data you were given for Table 1
- a slide showing a chart created from the data you were given for Table 2
- a slide presenting a summary of key ideas drawn from the project
- a concluding slide
The presentation
should use a consistent background, fonts, and colors suitable for
an academic audience. The chart and table should be consistent in
size, font, and color with the rest of the slides.
Save the PowerPoint Document
Save the PowerPoint document, giving it the filename M2P2
lastname firstname.ppt. (PowerPoint will supply the .ppt
extension automatically.)
Table and Chart in Excel
Using Excel, create 1 table from Data Set 1 and format it with a proper label. Use Data Set 2 to make 1 chart, formatted and labeled. Save the Excel Worksheet with the file name: M2P2 lastname firstname.xls.
Insert Table and Chart in PowerPoint
Insert the table from Excel into your PowerPoint presentation document, appropriately labeled and formatted, matching the design of your PPT slides.
Insert the chart from Excel into your PowerPoint presentation document, appropriately labeled and formatted, matching the design of your PPT slides.
Save both PowerPoint and Excel files and make back-ups.
Submit the Project
Send your instructor an email message, explaining that you are submitting both documents, correctly named with your name, by Friday, April 14, at 5:00 p.m. Attach these files:
- the complete PowerPoint document
- the complete Excel worksheet
