Problem Solving Project

 

Aims and Objectives

The aim of this project is to provide SSK1202 students with the opportunity to put into practice the Study Skills, Critical Thinking Skills and Learning Strategies that they have been studying in this course.  Students will be encouraged to work independently in groups,  yet maintain constant contact with their course tutors. 

Project scope

The project component of SSK1202 will involve one problem-solution project. The project will be guided by the instructor and will require complete documentation of the work completed including: a portfolio of steps and stages worked through;  a bibliography and reference list of sources consulted; a written report of the project including findings and recommendations.

Methodology

The project should be approached in the following manner: 

• Identify a current problem at Al Akhawayn University. 
• Specify the scope and parameters of the problem. 
• Devise a suitable research methodology to investigate the problem 
• Investigate/research the problem in as much detail as possible 
• Identify a range of possible solutions to the problem 
• Provide your findings/recommendations/conclusions
