Celebration of the 2008 World Earth Day

« NATURAL RESOURCES, A RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL »

Dear AUI community,

 On behalf of the AUI CEIRD and the organizing team, I am  pleased   to extend this invitation to you and  to any other motivated volunteers you might know  for   attending  and participating  to our workshop and activities of the WED 2008 (World Earth Day).  Please see the tentative program below.

The main objectives of these activities are the following:

1. Sensitize the community (AUI, local population, decision-makers, enterprises) to the importance of protecting Natural Resources;
2. Put forward Strategies to protect our Natural Resources; 
3. Discuss and share ideas that could contribute in promoting the sense of responsibility;
4. Give an opportunity to the community to learn more about our exciting research and development project on sustainable development on campus (CEIRD experimental site) as contribution of AUI for promoting environmental concerns and sustainable development at the local, national, regional and international level.

We would appreciate receiving your suggestions, contributions and view points after the event (World Earth Day 2008)

Altogether we can prepare a better future for our planet. Still we have time but we should act locally and continue thinking globally!!!!!!!
