Director’s Message

Welcome to the Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane website! I appreciate your interest in our school and know you will discover much about its distinctive qualities here. Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane is a welcoming, engaging and dynamic community that provides a unique teaching and learning environment.

The school was founded in 1995 as the first English language, co-educational K-12 school in Ifrane, Morocco, delivering classes via an American curriculum. Our history since this time, has been defined by excellence and achievement in a balanced program of academics, arts, sports and community service which prepares our students to thrive in a changing world.

ASI’s culture and philosophy reflects a value of and a commitment to diversity and individuality. The school provides an inclusive environment that celebrates and supports all voices whilst promoting an atmosphere of learning that relies on a strong work ethic and a commitment to community. We equip children with the tools to master rigorous academic challenges in math, science, languages including Arabic and French, literature, and social sciences, and our international focus helps them tackle broader challenges beyond the textbook.

Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane is committed to bringing together dedicated and passionate teachers with inquisitive and motivated students in the classrooms and in all the extended spheres of the school’s various curricular and extra-curricular programs. Currently, our students and staff hail from a wide range international and local Moroccan locations. 

Furthermore, a strong partnership with families who commit time, knowledge and resources helps to enhance an exceptional learning environment. We want each student to develop a passion for learning while emerging from Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane as an independent, confident, respectful and generous individual.
