Position Title:
Director of The Center of Environmental Issues
and Regional Development
Functional Description:
The Center of Environmental Issues and Regional
Development (CEIRD) aims to serve as a catalyst for disseminating
a cleaner production approach in local and regional enterprises,
a promoter of innovative knowledge and skills, particularly
in the industrial sector, governmental and non-governmental
organizations
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development projects
in close collaboration with regional business
and national and international agencies.
- promotes and supports new ideas and initiatives for sustainable
products and systems and for a rational use of natural resources.
- Promoting environmental protection and sustainable development
principles in close collaboration of NGO’s, local government
institutions and international agencies
- Implementing and developing environmental, cultural and educational
action programs with a view t contributing to the sustainable
regional development
Reporting Line:
Reports to the President
Qualifications:
The Director of the Center of environmental
Issues and Regional development should
have extensive experience in the development of environmental
projects and programs. He or she must be trilingual, with competence
in Arabic, French and English.
