cultural and ethnic composition of the city at the height of the Roman period.

Dr. Shoup presenting on the person of Boustarta who assisted Rome against
the people of Volubilis and was granted Roman citizenship. The podium was
once toped by his statue presented by his wife, Izza. From their names it
is clear that Volubilis had a mixed population of Punic and Berber peoples. |
