Human and mediated communication is now recognized to be one of the fastest growing fields requiring expertise applicable to business, politics, information, and entertainment. Thus a communication degree is highly valuable for employment in business/management, international affairs, development, media industries, human/public relations, computation and even increasingly in scientific fields. The Communication Studies Program offers students an exciting opportunity to develop a variety of practical and theoretical skills while interacting with a wide range of students and professors. Program DescriptionThe Communication Studies Program offers students knowledge in professional and applied communications, both local and international in scope. Students will gain theoretical, technical and applied expertise in fields such as Public Relations, Advertising, International Communication, Writing and Visual Production, and Mass Media Research. The Communication Studies program takes four years to complete and consists of the various components listed below, each designed to give students specific skills and essential knowledge while providing them with a wide choice of courses:
