Dr. Awatif Boudihaj joined CAD in August 2003. She got her doctorate degree in Education from Leeds University in UK. She has taught at the tertiary level both in Saudi Arabia and in the Sultanate of Oman. Her research interests involve writing, discourse analysis, needs analysis, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and developing students' research skills. |

She has an MA in Psychology from Yerevan State University, Armenia and a PhD in Classics and Ancient History from University of Exeter, U.K. She taught courses and held seminars in psychology and ancient drama and her recent research was in the field of Roman literature with focus on Ovid’s Metamorphoses and Seneca’s tragedies. She enjoys reading novels and poetry, watching films and spending time with friends. |

Lynn De Rose has a Master’s in Education from Framingham State University, Massachusetts, a TESOL certificate from Columbia University, New York, and a BA in Psychology from San Francisco State University, California. She has taught academic skills including information literacy and critical thinking in English-medium universities in New Zealand, Slovakia, and Turkey. She is interested in formative assessment, practical applications for learning research, and needs analysis and curriculum development. |

Kolin Goncalves, a Professor of English Language and Literature, has lived in England, Brasil, USA, China, Slovakia, Morocco, Indonesia, and South Korea and has visited 20 other countries. Kolin enjoys photography, reading, free running, biking, hiking, and traveling. He speaks English and Portuguese fluently and conversational French, Spanish, and Chinese. |

He has an MA in Applied Linguistics and the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). He’s currently working on a Ph.D. thesis in the area of task-based teaching and learning. He has taught English language and content courses at both private and public tertiary level institutions and language centers in Casablanca and Rabat. His research interests include critical approaches to TESOL, education and discourse, second language acquisition, the global spread of English and social and critical theory |

She is from Arizona in the United States, and grew up near Mexico. She is excited to begin a new chapter in her life at AUI. she will be working with Ms. Cheryl Woehr, Counselor. She is a professional Counselor and completed a doctorate in Education. Her research investigated factors that help Mexican American college students become successful in their personal and academic life. She believes all students from across the world experience many of the same challenges. For example, lack of motivation, confusion, loneliness and family expectations are universal problems faced by many students.
In order to prevent or identify these challenges early on, it is her goal to bridge the gap between students, faculty, and administration. She is passionate about the student developmental process and look forward to working with her CAD colleagues. |

Taten Sheridan received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of New Orleans and also holds a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). He has university and community college teaching experience in the United States, including courses in composition, literature, ESL/EFL, critical reading and writing, and screenwriting. His wide range of academic interests include curriculum development, international studies, composition and discourse analysis, creative writing, film, and the arts. |

Stephen Trevathan has a Master Degree in the Philosophy of Education and is currently near completion of his PhD thesis based on a comparative theological / philosophical enquiry. Stephen has taught at the elementary, high school and University levels and was principal of a well-known school in London, UK for nine years. Prior to coming to Al Akhawayn, Stephen lectured in Education at Roehampton University (London, UK) for six years specializing in Professional teaching studies, religious education and geography. |

Ms. Cheryl Woehr started work at Al Akhawayn University in August of 2009 the AUI Counselor providing personal, career and academic counseling. Prior to moving to Morocco she lived in Reno, Nevada, USA where she is tenured as a full-time faculty member and counselor at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) and is adjunct faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno where she teaches Ethnic Studies.
She has 25+ years of extensive experience teaching college courses and providing training in educational institutions, government agencies, non-profits, professional associations and companies small and large. She has presented workshops and seminars nationally and internationally on numerous topics with a focus on cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication skills.
Cheryl has traveled to 29 countries in 4 continents and lived overseas for 11 years in Spain, Libya and Morocco. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling and a B.A. in psychology from the California State University Chico. |
