International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFit 2007)
Iman Amzil, student at the School of Science and Engineering was invited to participate in the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFit 2007). The festival takes place in Trondheim, Norway, from February 16th to 25th, 2007. The title of the Festival is “Global Boundaries”.
Chosen among 3700 applicants from 144 nations, only 450 students will meet to critically debate the topic of globalization.
Iman Amzil has been chosen from a large number of highly qualified applicants to participate in a workshop about “Defining culture=defining identity?”
As a participant at the ISFiT, Iman will also have the chance to take part in a World Parliament Experiment. Participants will participate in a simulation of a World Parliament Global Assembly where the participants of ISFiT constitute the representatives of the whole world.
The ISFiT World Parliament Experiment is a historic first in its scope and magnitude, as such an experiment has never before been carried out in real life. International experts will be present during the project, and will present the idea of a World Parliament. They will also assist in evaluating the outcome of the process.
During ISFiT 2007, prominent and internationally renowned speakers will attend the festival to discuss different aspects of globalization with participants.
