Al Akhawayn University and ESADE sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Al Akhawayn University and ESADE, one of the most prestigious universities in the world that has recently been ranked, by the Wall Street Journal, School of Business No 1 in the world, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The two institutions, which give special importance to the Euro-Mediterranean region agreed to collaborate in the areas of trade and management training, as an approach for the potential installation of EUROMED School project. More details. 16 Nov 2006
The two parts agreed on the following:
- Exchange professors, including the intervention of a professor from ESADE in the Executive MBA program of AUI.
- AUI professors will be able to carry out academic stays (1 month to 1 year) in ESADE.
- Exchanges of students at the Bachelor and Master levels.
- Organization of seminars at ESADE or AUI on learning methodologies for groups of teachers.
- Collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean for the development of academic activities, seminars, and conferences. These activities will take place either in Morocco or in Spain, depending on the topic and the opportunity.
- Organization of summer courses for the participants in the various programs of AUI.
- Organization of specific seminars for MBA or executive classes’ students of AUI.
- To facilitate participants’ access in AUI to the virtual library of ESADE. Similarly, ESADE will collaborate in the development on the net of a guide for the companies according to the Guiame model. It is also agreed to investigate the possibility of inter- library collaboration.
- To offer to the executive students of AUI the possibility of a study trip to Barcelona supervised by ESADE professors.
- Creation in AUI of chairs managed by ESADE, and financed by Catalan or Spanish companies or public institutions.
- Creation at ESADE of a Chair of Mediterranean studies. This Chair will be financed by companies from ESADE’s region.
- ESADE could also take part in the design of programs for executives.
