Home Entertainment
Q: What are the options for TV?
A: The Housing Office provides off campus residences with TV sets and receivers for rent. The rental can be arranged through the Off-Campus Residences Manager, Mohammed El Akkaoui at extension 2045 or *2045.
Q: Is there a library?
A: Yes, a fine library on campus with database availability, along with a good selection of novels in English and French.
Q: Are movies (DVD or VHS or both) available for rental?
A: Some, in NTSC format, from Student Services on campus; a small but growing collection of DVD's in the multi-media library
Q: Should I bring a DVD player with me or buy one there?
A: DVD players are coded for a single region (usually the region that you bought it in). There are no true multi-region models. If you buy one here, you can take it to another country where they will decode it to allow you to play DVD's from all regions. It might be possible to decode a machine that newcomers bring with them, but local technicians may not be familiar with those models nor have the codes to decode them.
