Check-in/Check-out Procedures
Check in Procedures
After the registration, Students have to make sure they sign their check in forms of rooms they are assigned and get their keys. The housing officer does the check in procedure before the arrival of students. It is very important for the student to review the room status and report any discrepancy to the housing officer. If no comments are addressed to the housing office, the student then will assume any damage found in his/her room later at check out.
Check Out Procedures
Students who wish to leave AUI must be checked out of their rooms. When the check out period is announced, The student has to inform his/her housing officer in charge of his/her building and sets up a schedule for check out. Check out is done at the presence of a housing officer and the student. It is very vital to know that the housing officer will not proceed if the room is not clean or if the belongings are not removed. The check out procedure is as follows,
- The housing officer identifies any discrepancy in the room based on the check in form done at the beginning of the semester.
- It is very important that this clearance be done thoroughly. The student will be charged for any damage found in the room that is not mentioned in the check in form. The housing officer reports the room status to the housing office. The report will be considered as essential when billing the student for damages.
- All keys must be returned.
- All blankets and pillows must be returned
Students who do not perform check out will be subject to additional fines.
