Liability
The university will not be held responsible for any damage/ loss that could happen to the residents’ property unless it is proved that the damage is caused by the university authorized personnel.
Keys
The residents do not have the right to change the keypad.
If a resident loses his/her key, he/she should contact the Housing services for a key/lock replacement. (Residents will pay for the changed lock and key).
Storage
The University provides storage to residents for additional charges.
Balconies are not to be used for wood storage (less than 350 kg is tolerated).
Check-In
Once residents get the keys of their apartments, they are requested to check their apartments for any missing or damaged item. In such case, a Housing staff will be there to determine the nature and type of the damage. At check-in period, tenants will have to sign a Check-in Checklist on which they will log any missing or damaged item. It is very important for future residents to check this information before signing the form. The signature on this form is an acceptance of liability for the condition of the apartment as stated in the form.
