ECO 5305 Business and Managerial

This course is concerned with the application of micro- and macro-economic
principles to the conduct of business. Emphasis is on understanding
how the external economic environment impacts the viability of
a firm, as well as the decision making process of different economic
agents (consumers, firms, government, etc.) Significant emphasis
is placed on the global economy, indicating how other countries'
policies can affect the firm. At a minimum, the following subjects
will be discussed: pricing, conflict resolution, exchange rate
dynamics, market structure, game theory, and risk management.

ECO 5306 Economic
Development 3(3-0)
This course addresses the most important
economic issues faced by developing economies.
A special focus is placed on Morocco and
the North African and Middle Eastern economies.
Students are expected to use economic models
to analyze economic questions and to assess
economic questions and to assess economic
impacts of development projects. They are
also expected to analyze and suggest sound
economic policies. Special research projects
are assigned and discussed by students in
this course.
ECO 5310 Introduction
to International Economics 3(3-0)
This course is divided into three sections.
The first section examines the issue in international
trade. Topics include the theory of comparative
advantage, the determination of terms of
trade, protection in theory and practice.
The second section deals with the impact
of the international monetary system on international
trade, international capital management,
employment and growth. The third section
provides an introduction to and an overview
of the economics of international development.
