Graduate Application

How to Apply
  • Complete and submit an online application
  • Post required application material to the Office of admissions and Outreach
    1. Application Fee of 351 DH (500 DH for international applicants);
    2. Official university transcript(s) and certified copies of Diplomas;
    3. Certified copy of Moroccan Licence, or equivalent;
    4. Certified copy of high school diploma immediately upon being conferred (High school diplomas based on distance education, GED and similar tests are not accepted towards admission)
    5. Instructor Recommendation
    6. Two essays in English. In the first essay, explain the reasons behind choosing your graduate program. In the second, discuss a situation where you have assumed major responsibilities. Each essay should be about 500 words long.
    7. Two Copies of identity card, “CIN” (passport for internationals)
    8. Six passport size recent color photographs
  • Applicants (whose native language is not English) who do not have a TOEFL score of 550 in the TOEFL (79 IBT) must pay an additional 480 DH with the application material to take Al Akhawayn Institutional TOEFL, or arrange to take the international TOEFL at Amideast. An official score report must be available at Admissions before November 30th for the spring session; June 30th for the Fall session. International TOEFL score reports typically take four to five week to arrive. (Institution code number: 0125)
  • In addition to the above, applicants to the Master of Business of Administration and Master of Science in Corporate Finance are required to proved evidence of one-year job experience.

Once the online application is submitted, the student will receive a username and password email. The username and password will be used by the student to access a personal account which will serve as the sole medium of communication with the University. The username and password are confidential.

The only document sent by the University through postal mail will be that of the official admission decision letter.

The website will provide the necessary information on the relevant dates in the admission calendar.

Graduates with a bachelor's degree (or the equivalent, i.e. Licence) from recognized colleges and universities may apply for admission to graduate study at AUI. Admission is very competitive. Candidates for admission must provide evidence of superior academic performance.

Each school has a graduate admissions committee to evaluate applicants for acceptance to graduate programs. Each committee is chaired by its Dean and composed of faculty members from the school.

To keep track of their graduate application files, it is important for applicants to occasionally contact the assistant of the school to which they have submitted a complete application (online application + required material and payment). Students who meet all academic conditions are accepted to a degree program with regular status. Those whose background does not include the specific requirements for a given graduate program may need to take undergraduate foundation courses prior to accessing regular graduate courses.

There are three basic requirements for acceptance to a graduate program:

  1. a bachelor degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent (e.g., a Moroccan Licence);

  2. strong academic average in course work leading to the Licence; or, if graduating from a system using the US higher education model, a ‘B' average or better in upper level (junior and senior level) work and in any graduate work already completed; or, other evidence of ability to succeed in graduate study;

  3. adequate preparation for the proposed graduate program; and, acceptance by the appropriate Admissions Committee.

Selected candidates may be invited to take an interview with the admissions committee.

All graduate students, wishing to enroll at AUI to pursue a master's degree are expected to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. For Placement purposes, students for whom English is not the first language must submit a TOEFL score of 550 (79 IBT) and obtain a score of 5.0 (20 IBT) and above in Writing.
