Exhibition on Kurt Friedrich Gödel__April 7th-14th

Mohammed VI Library will be hosting an exhibition on Kurt Friedrich Gödel, who is an important thinker and mathematician of the 20th century, starting April 7 to April 14, 2014.
The exhibition is being organized as a follow-up to the Presidential lecture on "Life and Work of  Kurt Friedrich Gödel" that was held at Al Akhawayn University by Dr. Karl SIGMUND on March 5th, 2014.

Abstract:

Kurt Gödel, one of the most important thinkers of the twentieth century, spent only fifteen years of his life in Vienna, but those were his most important years. The lavishly illustrated lecture deals with the meteoric rise of Gödel, the discovery of his incompleteness theorems, the precarious situation in the years between Hitler's rise to power in Germany and the annexation of Austria, and finally his desperate attempts to flee the Third Reich. A large part of the lecture is devoted to the close relations between Gödel and the mathematicians and philosophers of the Vienna Circle
