Library Behavior
Policies
Can I
bring food and drinks to the Library?
In order to create an
atmosphere that is conducive to research and learning, it is important
to maintain appropriate library conduct. Patrons who engage in
inappropriate behavior may be subject to fines or punishment.
Food, Drink, and Tobacco
No food is allowed in the library
Drinks are prohibited in the library
No smoking anywhere in the library, including bathrooms
Violators will be fined 100 MAD.
Cell Phones
For the courtesy of other library users, cell phones should be set to
silent or vibrate mode. Patrons are asked to conduct their cell phone
conversations outside the library.
Violators will be given verbal warnings. Repeat offenders may face fines
of 100 MAD or disciplinary action.
Trash
The continued upkeep and cleanliness of library facilities are the
responsibility of all library patrons. It is expected that all patrons
dispose of all garbage in the allocated trash cans.
Violators will face fines or disciplinary action.
Disruptive Behavior
Disruptive behavior that impedes study and research will not be
tolerated in the library. Disruptive behavior may include loud personal
conversations and other actions that disturb the library atmosphere.
Identifying disruptive patron behavior will be up to the discretion of
library staff. Violators will first receive a verbal warning. Continued
disruptive behavior will result in expulsion from the library.

New Acquisitions
How can
I find out about the latest books acquired by the Library?
New Acquisition lists are on the
library online catalog and can be viewed at:http://libserv.aui.ma/flist
(Featured Item lists).
Off Campus Access
Can I
access Electronic Databases from my home?
YES, off-campus access to online databases and journals is now available
24hours/day 7days a week either through the library's online catalog (OPAC)
or, from the library homepage:
http://www.aui.ma/library
Students, faculty, and staff must first have their AUI domain accounts
enabled to access this service. (AUI domain accounts are the passwords
used to log onto all computers using AUI intranet).

Can I
suggest books to be added to the library collection?
The
Library welcomes book suggestions from all the AUI community. Appropriate form for this purpose
is available on button entitled Suggest a purchase on the online
library catalog: http://libserv.aui.ma
I still
need a book I have borrowed from the Library. Can I renew the book for
another 14 days?
Books checked out from the Library can be renewed twice via OPAC using
your "My Millennium" account, unless they have been recalled or on hold

Can I
make copies of material in the Reserve Desk?
Photocopy
service is available during the library hours.

protect intellectual property rights, only reasonable portions of
copyrighted material may be copied at any one time,

Do I
need a password to access the readings placed in the e-reserve?
Readings placed in the e-reserve
can be accessed by all AUI students through the library OPAC via Course
Reserves at
