Dr. Stefano Bigliardi, Associate Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has recently had two of his books published by Cambridge University Press. His two latest books, “New Religious Movements and Science” and “Islam and Science: Past, Present, and Future Debates” in co-authorship with Prof. Nidhal Guessoum, American University of Sharjah are important contributions to the fields of religious and science studies.
“Islam and the Sciences: Past, Present, and Future Debates” aims to give readers a general overview of the wide and rich scope of interactions of Islam with the sciences, including past disputes, current challenges, and future outlooks.
While “New Religious Movements and Science”shows how New Religious Movements variously conceptualize science and provides readers with an overview of the scholarly conversation surrounding this phenomenon.
