AUI Students Win 2nd Place in National Hackathon
After winning the ‘Sports Data Analytics Hackathon’ - Challenge 2: innovation challenge, AUI team composed of Ayoub Ghamas, Noureddine Amaraoui, Bilal Lorhlam, and Hamza Lahlali, participated in and won second place in the National Hackathon "Home Services", on June 12-13, in La Startup Factory, Casablanca - the biggest start-up incubator in Africa.
The Hackathon on home services aims to better organize the sector of domestic workers (housekeepers, drivers, cooks, guards, etc.) in an innovative way and solve the problem of hundreds of thousands of workers in Morocco, (CNSS/retirement/paid leave) while establishing a "balance" pair, an environment of trust: employer/employee. Among the 25 teams that were originally chosen from nearly 300 applicants for this National Hackathon, AUI students managed to ensure a position in the incubation phase for their start-up "Homely".
