SSE Faculty Co-author Paper on Enhancing Security and Chemicals Management
Dr. Abdelkrim Ouardaoui, Dr. Samir El Hajjaji, and Dr. Khalid Sendide co-authored a paper entitled: Enhancing Security and Chemicals Management in University Science Laboratories: Creating a Secure Environment for Students and Researchers in Morocco. The paper was published in April 2020 in the Journal of Chemical Education, a journal of the American Chemical Society.
The paper reports the University’s approach to upgrading SSE’s main Chemistry and Biotech laboratories as part of its strategy to align with international educational standards, including those that relate to safety and security. This is a result of a two years R&D project, funded in 2017 by CRDF Global, an agency of the US Department of State. Part of the projects' results were also presented at the 2019 Teacher Education Conference held at George Mason University, VA, USA. Worth mentioning that CRDF Global has praised AUI’s project as one of their most successful ones over the MENA region, which will further boost its future collaboration with AUI.
