Dr. Hassi Publishes Paper on Leadership and Job Satisfaction
AUI SBA Professor Abderrahman Hassi recently published an article entitled “You Get What You Appreciate: Effects of leadership on job satisfaction, affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior" in the International Journal of Organizational Analysis. The purpose of this paper was to examine the influences of transactional and transformational leadership styles on employee job satisfaction, employee affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) within Moroccan organizations.
Dr. Hassi gathered data from a sample of 219 employees working in seven different industries in Morocco which he then analyzed using Structural Equations Modeling (SEM). The SEM analyses reveal that employee job satisfaction, affective commitment and OCB are only impacted by the personal recognition dimension of the transformational leadership style.
