Al Akhawayn Student Wins Prize at National Solar Energy Competition


The Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN) organized the second edition of its annual capstone competition. Students from all Moroccan Universities compete for prizes  in one of three areas: Industry, Innovation or Research and Sustainable development.

Safae Hajji (’14) has won a prize for her Master Project work in the category ‘Sustainable Development’. The title of the work is ‘Design and Cost Optmization of small-scale PV Powered Reverse Osmosis Desalination’ The Moroccan Agency for Solar Engery will be awarding the prize at a ceremony taking place on September 4, 2014 in Rabat.

Safae earned a combined bachelor and master’s degree at the School of Science and Engineering, Al Akhawayn University. She joined in Fall 2008 and graduated in Summer 2014.
