Staff Accounts

Information Technology Services provides IT support for AUI Staff members. It incorporates all aspects of service needed to support and fulfill the mission of providing computer resources to the University’s administrative community. This includes, but is not limited to: appropriate availability and accessibility to the University’s IT Resources; current computer hardware and software technologies; and proficient technical and operational support staff.

-          NetID and Network Account

What is it?

The AUI NetID is a secure, efficient way for the University and its computer systems to ensure the identity of an eligible user before allowing access to potentially sensitive information. NetIDs allow access to a growing number of online services at AUI.

Your NetID allows you to get access to the following services:

-          Log on a local session on your personal computer or IT Labs computers,

-          Your SD Account,

-          Access your N-Drive Storage Space,

-          Access to the University Secure FTP Server,

-          Access to the CMS administration platform for AUI website,

-          Get Access to the local printers,

-          Get Access to the wired network (ITS Staff only),

-          Get Access to the wireless Network,

-          Get Access to EX web client,

-          Access AUI IT resources through VPN,

-          Access the Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

How to get it?

The NetID is given to you at the time of your arrival here as a Staff member, in the administrative assistance of the school, department you are affected to.

Al Akhawayn University equips all Faculty offices with a phone set connected to the University’s internal phone network. Every phone line corresponds to a 4-digit number and can communicate, free of charge with any other phone line in the network. These phone lines are joinable from outside by adding the prefix -053586- to the line’s four digit extension number.

IT Service Desk

Mission

This division is responsible of providing the following services:

Issue resolution, respecting emergency level and SLAs,

Frequent issues knowledge base,

Troubleshooter.

The main responsibilities of staff member under this division are:

Single point of contact for users,

Request orchestration, dispatching and monitoring till resolution,

User feedback gathering (for continuous service quality enhancement),

Frequent issues documentation,

Problem management (issue analysis, correlation among issues),

Labs management,

External communication,

SLA definition (in consultancy with AUI community) and compliance.
