Deborah Perkin is an award winning British documentary film maker and former BBC senior producer. In 2011, Perkin and her collaborator Nora Fakim (former BBC Morocco correspondent) shared a room in a Casablanca slum for eight weeks, living amongst their film subjects – feisty single mothers fighting for justice for their outcast children. Perkin will talk and share her experience as a film maker including projecting excerpts of her independent documentary BASTARDS: Sex and Single Mothers in Morocco set to release in June 2013.
