The Athletic Scholarship

AUI sport scholarship will help ensure long term future of athletics in AUI and establish AUI as a nationally recognizable name in the sport milieu. Knowing that sport has become a major economic and social asset, its development will help enshrine excellence in AUI. Besides, Athletic scholarship will give athletes the opportunity to get a great education while still competing in the sport they love. As it the case for tennis and table –tennis, we will try to integrate the civil championship in collective sport. All in all, sport scholarship will help us achieve sport excellence.

Who will be considered for athletic scholarship?

Based on Availability, Athletic scholarship will be reserved to students with very high special athletic qualification. 5 national or international levels) demonstrate financial needs and have good academic standards: They must meet the university normal entrance requirements.

How much are athletic scholarship award:

There will be a strict limit on the total number of scholarships awarded each semester. Award amount will be allocated according to athlete merit; they may not necessarily cover the full cost of studies. A student athlete may apply for the bank loan available for students eligible for financial aid.

Recruiting process:

The athletic Director and team coaches will be responsible to scout prospective student’s athlete getting in touch with national team coaches and federations. When the primary contact is made, the selected candidates are invited on campus for a final test which includes a technical test and an interview. The technical test will be conducted by the athletic Director to determine the student’s athletic qualities and the interview will be conducted by Vice president of student affairs for a final decision.

Post eligibility athletic guide:

1. All students who are offered athletic scholarship to attend AUI must sign an official award letter and agree to the following terms:

2. Student athlete will remain eligible to receive athletic scholarship provided they maintain satisfactory academic status.

3. Engage in misconduct serious enough to warrant disciplinary action and cancellation of aid.

4. Participate in team related activities

5. Upon voluntary withdrawal (i.e. quitting from your team, athletic aid will be terminated immediately).

6. Voluntary drop from the university, the candidates must repay the money granted to him.

7. If the athlete should have an injury while competing in AUI team activities that prevent him from competition the awards will be maintained.

8. Student’s athlete academic and sport performance will be evaluated every semester.
