AUI Team ranked 1st in the "African Robotic Brains Competition”
Three AUI students, Aymane CHERACHER, Mouad ADERDOR, and Hiba ELBASSITI, represented Al Akhawayn University in the “African Robotic Brains Competition.” The competition was held at ENSAM Meknes on May 29 and May 30, 2021, on the theme of “Industrial Robotics.” Engineering students across Moroccan and other African schools competed in two main competitions: “Industry 4.0” and “The Project.” AUI’s team won the first prize for the “Best Project.”
In the qualifying phase on the first competition day, six teams from the participating schools successfully completed all the tasks directed to them. These teams would qualify on to the next round. In addition, the best creative project for the session was chosen from the innovative projects presented by the engineering students.
The second day began with a welcome speech to all participants and an introduction to ENSAM Meknes’s role in the industrial robotics field. As a national institution, ENSAM Meknes conducts training in several arts and other professional fields.
