Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane - Admission Process - How to Become an AUIer?

Admission Process - How to Become an AUIer?

In response to the growing COVID-19 crisis and the instructions received from the Moroccan government authorities, Al Akhawayn University has canceled its General Admission Test (GAT) in all exam centers. At this time of global uncertainty, students may be nervously wondering whether their application to the University will be affected.

The University is taking steps to ease the impact of this cancellation and the ongoing COVID-19 virus situation on its admission process. Admissions will now be based on the evaluation of your application. The best high-school students will have very good academic performance, complemented by extracurricular activities, experience with community service, and other achievements outside the classroom. Admissible applicants will have a solid academic performance in high-school and some other personal achievements that will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The following components will be considered in the evaluation:

    • Academic Performance and Credential Evaluation,
    • Motivation Letters / Essays,
    • Extracurricular Activities & Personal Characteristics (leadership, personal qualities, initiative, etc.),
    • Optional: Standardized Tests Scores (SAT, AP, ACT) if available,

In some cases, online video interviews will be conducted to further drill down some relevant aspects of the applicant’s file.

The university will now be adopting a Rolling Admissions procedure, with a large application window.  Once the application is evaluated by the University Admissions Committee, applicants will receive an email from the Admissions Office. The University admissions staff is committed to making every effort to provide students with all the needed information on their admission status and will assist them in the different stages of their application.
