Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane - AUI classes go online starting March 18th

AUI classes go online starting March 18th

Dear students,

Considering the current Covid-19 outbreak and wishing to preserve the health of members of the community, the University has decided not to resume classes on campus at the end of the mid-semester break; students are requested not to come back to campus on Monday March 16th.

Classes will resume online on Wednesday March 18th, according to the regular schedule using the Jenzabar Learning Management System and the Microsoft Teams platform.  This will continue until March 30th. The decision to extend online classes beyond this date will be made (and communicated) in due time based on the evolving situation with the Coronavirus.  More technical and logistical information on virtual classrooms will be provided before March 18th.

Any student experiencing hardship finding accommodation should write to the Residential Life Assistant-Manager at  This email address is being protected from spambots. If you have traveled to high risk countries in the last two weeks, you should self-quarantine in your homes for 14 days after your return and monitor your health situation daily, and in general follow the advice of the medical authorities. The exceptional cases who may end up staying in Ifrane will also need to be in isolation and under observation; our health services will be at their disposal.

The University has been taking all measures to provide a healthy and risk-free environment through constant disinfection of public spaces, health monitoring and follow up by a special Covid-19 Watch Committee, since February 25th, in coordination with national health authorities.  Please send any inquiries you may have to  This email address is being protected from spambots. No effort will be spared to keep all of you safe and comfortable.  For now, all your classes will be taken online as a preventative measure to avoid the spread of the virus to campus and the city of Ifrane, while ensuring that classes continue as planned.

More details on preventative measures taken on campus will be communicated by the relevant units.

We count on your voluntary diligence in following University decisions and recommendations, and we remain at your service as we manage through this phase.

Stay Safe,

Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane
