A Presidential Start to the School Year

It’s the start of a new year at AUI, and along with the arrival of both new and returning students comes the arrival of new Presidential Interns. The AUI Presidential Internship Program was established Fall of 2016 with the aim to give recent graduates from US-accredited institutions a chance to live, work and learn in Morocco while also bringing their diverse experiences and perspectives from American-style universities to help improve the AUI system. This year marks the third group of Presidential Interns, seven in total, who will be working in a number of offices such as the Community Involvement Program (CIP), the Department of Development and Communication (DEVCOM), the Office of Internal Audit (OIA), and the Office of the President.

Throughout their time here, the interns will be taking part in and navigating both the administrative and academic experience, as they are both students and staff. They can be seen as the link between the two, bridging the gap between both worlds. They will be able to take part in classes, clubs, and other student activities while also participating in staff activities.

This is the first of the AUI PiP Spotlight Series, which will be followed by weekly spotlights on each individual intern.
