SBA Students Poised for Victory: The AIM2Flourish Competition
Students enrolled in Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane’s (AUI) School of Business Administration (SBA) often seek opportunities that further their understandings of the business world they are poised to enter, seeking, in doing so, real experiences that will serve them throughout their long careers. Last year, a pair of business-savvy SBA students took it upon themselves to enter Case Wester Reserve University’s “AIM2Flourish” competition, a competition that requires participants to submit a piece that details the businesses of successful companies whose aims are to ameliorate their immediate communities: they won.
The selection of prize-winners is a very thorough and grueling process. The AIM2Flourish judges begin by reading through over five-hundred different pieces from business students from around the world. After their initial reading, they narrow the list of finalists down to sixty-three, only to select seventeen these teams as victors.
This year’s highly anticipated list of finalists has finally been announced, and AUI is proud to announce that Hajar El Hassani, Afraa Touzani, and Yassine Bachiri’s piece—entitled Cooking With the Sun—has made the cut. Their work, which was composed under the direction of Professor Mary Grace Neville, explores the business operations of the Meknes company “Solarama Energy & Services”, a company that offers a wide array of solar-powered cookware.
The finalists are set to be announced next week: we hope you will join us in wishing the Hajar, Afraa, and Yassine the very best of luck!
