Al Akhawayn University Extends its Partnerships to Slovenia
Ifrane, May 28, 2012 – Al Akhawayn University signed a partnership agreement with the International School for Social and Business Studies (ISSBS) in Slovenia on April 5, 2012.
The MoU aims at enhancing the relationship between the two institutions, developing academic and cultural interchange in the areas of education, research and other activities, and working together toward the internationalization of higher education and research.
The ISSBS is a Slovenian academic institution actively engaged in high quality education and research. It has a large partnership network whereby different educational and research programs are funded and successfully implemented.
“I believe our cooperation with the ISSBS is strategic to strengthen our internationalization plan and develop education and research programs with European institutions,” said Karim Moustaghfir, Assistant professor of Human Resources at Al Akhawayn School of Humanities and Social Sciences. “This cooperation can create significant opportunities for faculty and students through scholarly publications in outstanding journals, fundraising activities, training and development, participation in conferences, student exchange and participation in summer schools with interesting grants, and business networking opportunities.”
Professor Karim Moustaghfir played an essential role in building the relationship with the ISSBS. He has been taking part in several joint projects and activities since 2010 being involved as a co-editor of the Journal of Euro Mediterranean Studies, as a keynote speaker in the international MakeLearn conference 2011, as a visiting professor in the international Summer School in 2011, and as author of a scientific article to be published in the International Journal of Synergy and Research.
