  • Short bio : Nicolas Hamelin holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Sussex University in the UK, an M.Sc in Environmental Management from Ulster University and is a PhD candidate in Business at the Royal Docks Business School, university of East London. He is also a trained TV news reporter from INA, Paris. He worked as a research fellow for City University of Hong Kong, the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter and the Energy Center of the Netherlands. In international business, he worked at ST-Ericsson and at Nokia BU, as a technical and strategic marketing manager. He is now an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Al Akhawayn University, Morocco. Nicolas Hamelin main research interests are in the fields of International Marketing, Advertising, Consumer Behavior, Social Marketing and Environmental Management.

  • Short bio : Dr. Karim Moustaghfir is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Human Resource Development at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (Morocco). He is also the Coordinator of the Mediterranean School in e-Business Management (Italian-Moroccan Partnership), and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Business Performance (Cranfield School of Management - UK). After completing his Master and Ph.D degrees, he worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher at Scuola Superiore ISUFI - Università del Salento (Italy). He now researches on the topics of knowledge assets, dynamic capabilities, performance management, entrepreneurial learning and management in education. He published several international papers and articles. He also serves on the editorial board of distinguished international journals, and he is a member of several professional associations in Morocco and abroad. Prior to his academic career he held management positions in the banking and management consulting fields.

  • Short bio : Nizar Messari holds a PhD in International Studies from The University of Miami, Florida. He held different teaching positions in Brazil between 2001 and 2009, and mainly at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro where he was Associate Dean for Graduate Studies. He also held several consulting positions in Brazil, and in particular to the BrazilianMinistry of Foreign Affairs, to the Brazilian Military and to the Brazilian Oil Company, Petrobras. He is a member of several international associations, and in particular, the International Studies Association. He has widely published in issues related to International Relations Theory, International Security and Middle Middle Eastern politics, including in relations between Islam and the West.

He holds a doctorate in International Studies from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. He specializes in Security Studies, International Political Economy and the Middle East/North Africa Region. He teaches at Al Akhawayn University Ifrane -- a Moroccan university following the American tertiary education pattern. Originally an immigrant from the Sudan, Kalpakian is a native speaker of Arabic and a naturalized United States citizen.
