Staff Recognition Day 2012

Ifrane, June 19, 2012 - Al Akhawayn University held a Staff Recognition Day in honor of all its staff. 

The President of the University handed awards and special certificates for outstanding service to staff who were identified by clients as particularly dedicated. In his speech, the president thanked all staff for their dedication and hard work and reminded everyone of the importance the University puts on its human capital as its most important asset, in accordance with the University’s strategic plan.

A special tribute was paid to two staff members who have retired   Mr. Saadou Mohamed from the housing department and Mr. Hrou mohamed from the Grounds and Maintenance department. 

The Customer Service Excellence Award was also awarded during the Ceremony. Mr. Rachid Mrabti from the Human Resources Office won first prize of an all-inclusive two-night stay in a 5-star Marrakech Hotel. Mr. Mrabti said ‘I could not believe it, when I heard my name. I felt very happy. This service excellence award gives me and my HR colleagues pride and confidence. Indeed, I love and believe in what I am doing’

Some other staff were given special mention for Customer Service Excellence. They were:

Aziza Boumahdi: Dean’s Administrative Assistant, School of Business Administration 

Mohamed El Akkaoui: Faculty Residence Supervisor

Samira Rhioui: Cashier at the Business Office

Siham Lazaar: Cashier at the Business Office 

Saida Zizoune: Registration Officer, Enrollment Services

Nadia Bouchanine: Lifeguard and administrative assistant, Athletic Department 

Awards were also given to staff that have demonstrated progress and regular attendance at the ‘English for Staff’ program. The awards were given to:

Mounir Karroumi: School of Science and Engineering for the Highest Achiever  

Noura Messelarh: Campus Store for the most dedicated 

Said Benhammou: ITS for the best improvement

A reception was then held after the ceremony.
