FAQ's

 

Q: What if I have a maintenance problem (electricity, carpentry, plumbing, phone connection)?

A: If you need any repairs in your room, submit your ticket via: sd.aui.ma
For more information, please feel free to call: 700 for females or 3000 for males.

Q: What if I have a health problem?

A: Call your Hall Director for assistance at one of the emergency extensions: 555/2053 for males and 3333/3154 for females. You can also ask your RA for the assistance.

Q: Can I get an extra blanket/Pillow/Pillowcase?

A: The University provides each student with a bed and mattress but no bed linens.

Q: What if I have a problem with the computer connection?

A: Please make your request online to the help desk through at: https://www.aui.ma/service-desk/ or call 666.

Q: What if I lose my room keys or (key cards)?

A: In case you lose your key, contact Mr. Mounir Ouamchi, the Housing Officer immediately, at Ext. 2061, or inform your Hall Director. The lock will be changed and you will be charged accordingly.

Q: What if I am expecting a visitor?

A: Stop by your Hall Director’s office to get permission to host your guest. The guest should leave at 8:30 pm. To have an overnight guest, write to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get a special permission

Q: Where do I buy tokens for the laundry machines?

A: Tokens are sold at the campus store for 7 MAD for self service machines and for 10 MAD for full service.

Q: What if someone is making noise?

A: Call your RA for assistance. If the problem persists, call your Hall Director and provide the necessary information.

Q: What if I want to keep my room for the following semester?

A: You are advised to check the Housing calendar under important dates regarding room reservations for the following semester. All reservations are made online via an open session for a limited period of time.

Q: What if I lose something? 

A: Report the loss immediately to Security & Safety Department in building 9, extension: 2222, then you are advised to drop by your Hall Director’s office and fill in a “Property Loss Statement”. You can ask your RA for advice.

Q: What if I am locked out?

A: Your Hall Director can let you in after you fill out the master key use form. You can request the master key use twice for free.  A charge will be applied the third time.

Q: What if I have a problem with my roommate? 

A: Contact your RA first. As a last resort, your Hall Director can help resolve the conflict.

Q: What if I want to move University furniture from my room?

A: Write an email to Mr. Mounir Ouamchi at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call him at Ext. 2061 and explain the reasons for wanting to move the furniture out of your room. Permission may be granted based on your reasons.

Q: Where do I get mail and packages? 

A: Regular mail is delivered to your mail box. If you receive a package, a message will be delivered to you to pick it up from the Housing Office.

Q: What if I need to talk to staff or faculty members during office hours?

A: Call the operator at x9 or x5901.

Q: What if I need to forward calls to another room?

A: Dial *53 followed by the extension to which you want to forward the phone call to and press #. Example: *53 xxxx #.

Q: What if I want to check out some board games?

A: Visit the Office of Student Activities in Building 14.  You can also check out social games at the Office of your Hall Director in building 38 (e.g. Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess and Pictionary).

Q: Does AUI offer family Housing?
