THE INSTRUMENTALIZATION OF GENDER DISCOURSE IN MOROCCO

Speaker: Dr. Aicha Belarbi

Dr. Aicha Belarbi is a sociologist at Mohammed V University in Rabat. She is a founding member of the Moroccan Organization of Human Rights and contributes to "Human Rights Watch,and "Lawyers Committee for Human Rights." In addition to her scholarly career and human rights activism, Dr Belarbi has also served as Secretary of State in Charge of Cooperation in 1998 and was the Moroccan Ambassador to the European Union.
