The ones most frequented by Al Akhawayn community members are Forest Restaurant, La Rose, La Paix, Beethoven, Perce-Neige Hotel and Restaurant, and Aguelmam. The Marché offers more local options. Transportation Petit Taxis There are about two-dozen Petit Taxis operating in Ifrane. Many of them can be contacted by phone for pick-up. The phone numbers are posted at the main gate of the University. You can find some phone numbers here. Grand Taxis Grand Taxis are available for trips outside of Ifrane. You can get Grand Taxis from and to Fez, Meknes, Azrou, Imouzzer and other surrounding areas at reasonable prices. Prices range from 7 to 11 DH for Azrou and Imouzzer and about 25 DH for Fez and Meknes. Taxi prices are a little higher starting in the late afternoon and into the evening. Taxis can be found next to Jbel Habri residences located further down from the Marché on the first street to the left after the big Mosque of Ifrane. You can find some phone numbers here. Buses Buses have more regular schedules. Twice a day, there are buses going to Fez, Meknes, Rabat, and Casablanca. From one of these cities you can take other forms of transportation to continue your journey further. Bus tickets are inexpensive and are sold both at the CTM office in the Marché for CTM buses and also further down from the grand taxi stand for other bus companies. Click here for more information on CTM schedules. Trains As for trains, there is no train service to and from Ifrane. The nearest train stations are in Meknes and Fez, where there are other train or bus connections with the rest of Morocco. Train prices are very affordable even if a little higher than bus prices.
