This handbook, together with your contract, sets out the terms and conditions of your employment with Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane.  It describes the policies, programs, and benefits available to AUI personnel. Employees should read this document as it will answer several questions about employment at AUI.

We believe that communication and professional relationships become easier when employees are aware of the policies, culture, ethics, and values that govern our institution.

Job Opportunities

Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), located in the Middle Atlas resort town of Ifrane, Morocco, was established in January 1995 as a center for academic excellence and intercultural tolerance. It was designed as a Moroccan University, based on the American model of higher education and using English as the language of instruction, it is Morocco's only public English-speaking University. Approximately half of the current teaching staff at AUI is international.

The University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of computer engineering, business and social sciences and humanities. Peace, tolerance and understanding are an important part of the educational climate. The campus is located in Ifrane, traditionally a vacation and sport-training area, close to Fez , high in the Middle Atlas mountains, with a cool, temperate climate, about 4 hours from the coast. The rapidly expanding Library contains 65,000 volumes and possesses a modern wired infrastructure, Intranet and Internet. We are committed to excellence in scholarly communication, information literacy and attaining international accreditation standards.
