Project Information day: “Gender-sensitive Approaches to Connect the Unconnected using Community Network Models”
The development of ICT has revolutionized all sectors around the world and offers countless opportunities such as online training, e-commerce, sharing experiences and more.
Therefore, it is urgent and necessary to make Moroccan women benefit from these potentialities.Women in Morocco has limited access to IT infrastructure compared to men, especially in rural areas.
Conscious about this problem and in the framework of the project entitled: “Gender-sensitive Approaches to Connect the Unconnected using Community Network Models”, I am delighted to invite you to attend the information day organized at the event Room at Al Akhawayn University on Thursday 18th July at 14:30 pm, in order to discuss implementation advancement, challenges and acheivements.
The project is a winner of WomenConnect challenge which is a USAID global call for solutions to increase women’s access to digital technology and life-enhancing services that can reduce poverty and drive inclusive economic growth.
The project is being implemented by Afchix women in technology Network in collaboration with Association Jbel Elayachi and Al Akhawayn University at the Local community of Ait Izdeg in Midelt province.
