Transnational Perspectives on COVID 19, Politics, the State, and Biopower A Political Science Web Symposium at Al Akhawayn University

Introduction

The COVID 19 crisis gripped the world and provided a severe test to both states and the international system. While the overall contours of the disease and its SARS-1 related virus are well understood, the scientific community is still learning much of the details related to this disease. Biomedical researchers have protocols and epistemological approaches that are far more trans-subjectively grounded than what political scientists and other social scientists can offer of course, and while their research continues, the virus has had a powerful impact on politics worldwide.
