Wind Energy Engineering Workshop

The Wind energy engineering workshop will be held over three days (from Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 to Saturday, October 13th, 2018) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. This event aims to bring together professionals from government/private institutions, university professors, graduate students with a multidisciplinary engineering background. The topics covered are condition monitoring and asset management for large turbines and the main thematic related to small wind turbine technology which are outlined in the book of Dr David Wood titled ‘Small Wind Turbines Analysis, Design, and Application’. The workshop program is based on a variety of activities such as lectures (held in English), interactive discussions and simulation exercise. The participants will be provided with a soft copy of the Wood’s book as well as the necessary software.  

The Wind energy engineering workshop aims to build a national research and development network in wind energy engineering. Al Akhawayn University is pleased to welcome an international expert, Professor David Wood as a keynote speaker.

Registration and logistic:

To encourage active participation during the training sessions, the number of participants will be restricted to 25. Participation certificates will be delivered at the end of the workshop.

Accommodation and catering are provided at Al Akhawayn University.

Students are eligible for scholarship and it is left to the rest of the participants to decide on their financial contribution.
