Atheletics, Clubs and Extra Curricular Activities

The Sports program is an integral part of the overall educational process at AUI. Through sports, students learn the value of hard work, discipline, team building, and sportsmanship. At ASI, we aim to provide an environment wherein students achieve in sports but lay also the foundation for success in life as well. ASI is a full member of the Maroc-American Schools Athletic Conference (MASAC). We have teams that compete in the conference and on a national level with other similar international schools in Volleyball, Athletics, Swimming, Badminton, and Basketball.

The facilities at Al Akhawayn University are used by the school consisting of an Olympic sized heated pool and a first-class indoor gymnasium facility for basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, tennis and other activities.

Each trimester ASI makes a call from its teachers and members of the community to offer extra-curricular activities.  Extra-curricular activities range in offering based on adult availability after school hours.  Examples of after-school activity offerings include courses such as dance, soccer, swimming, music, educational technology games, Arduino Robotics, Speech and Debate, and Model United Nations to name a few.
