General Admission Conditions

1. Review of high school records. 

2. Success in the General Admission Test (GAT) or a minimum of 1000 SAT score for native English speakers with at least a 500 in mathematics. For non-native English speakers, the minimum score is 920  with at least a 500 in mathematics.

3. A satisfactory interview, where applicable.

N.B.: A Moroccan candidate who is studying and living abroad may be invited for an interview or get direct admission.

2. Send the required documents by mail to the Admissions & Outreach Office, P.O BOX 104 Avenue Hassan II Al Akhawayn University, Ifrane 53000 – Morocco:

• Certified copies of high school grades (semesters/trimesters) of the last three years including “Régional” and “National” exams (for Moroccan Bac) – Faxes, copies and scanned documents are not accepted

• Certified copy of « relevé de notes de l’examen du Baccalauréat » (French Bac) – Faxes, copies and scanned documents are not accepted

• Certified copy of the high school diploma upon reception (High school diplomas based on distance education, GED, DAEU and similar tests are not accepted towards admission)

• One Copy of identity card, “CIN” for Moroccan citizens (passport for international applicants)

• Two (2) passport size recent color photographs (Please write your name on the back of each Photo)

• A copy of the page of ‘livret de famille’ clearly showing the candidate’s full name in both Arabic and Latin scripts (for Moroccan candidates)

Pledge of Academic Integrity

• Enrollment certificate of all institutions attended after Baccalaureate (For old baccalaureate only)

• Grades obtained in all institutions attended after Baccalaureate (For old Baccalaureate only)

Official score report of Toefl (iBT)/IELTS if available

Official SAT scores report if available

Application fee of 500 DH (800 DH for internationals) and TOEFL fee of 480 DH (if the candidate wishes to take the TOEFL in AUI).

Transcripts, Diplomas and documents which appear in their original form in other language than English, Arabic or French must be accompanied by a certified English translation.

 


How to re-apply?

Reapplication (Denied in GAT)

Candidates who failed in the General Admission test (GAT) can reapply for admission the following session as follow:

 1. Fill in the re-application form 

2. Pay the application fee of 500 DH

3. Pay the TOEFL fee if they wish to improve their score.

4. Send the missing documents to complete their file


The GAT can only be retaken twice. After that, the candidate should register in another institution for a minimum of one year and provide a proof of success to be able to reapply to AUI.


NB: The first application remains valid for one year only. After that the candidate must resend new documents without reapplying online.

 

 

 


Denied in Interview

Candidates who failed in the oral interview may retake it the next session (April and June) in this case they need to send a request by fax to: 05 35 86 21 77 or by email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , and pay the application fee again.


Candidates who failed the interview are offered the possibility to retake the interview the following semester only (not more than one semester) or retake the admission test. In both cases they will need to proceed as follow:


1. Fill in the re-application form


2. Pay the application fee of 500 DH


3. Pay the TOEFL fee if they wish to improve their score.


4. Send the missing documents to complete their file

 

 

 


Defaulted Interview

Candidates who couldn’t take the oral interview for some reason, can take it the next session or semester only. After that, they need to retake the General Admission Test (GAT).

 

 


Readmission

Former students of the University who wish to return after one academic year absence and who did not inform the University of their plans for a semester off or a Planned Educational Leave, must re-apply for reinstatement. They must complete the Readmission Application, submit a non-refundable application fee of 800 MAD, and provide official transcripts of all studies attempted and/or complete since last attending AUI. Transcripts must be provided to confirm that the student has been in good standing regardless of whether studies were completed or transfer credit was desired.

Students who have attended other institutions of higher education must be in good standing with these institutions to be considered for readmission. Students who are currently on academic probation or suspension at another institution will not be re-admitted to AUI. Students who have withdrawn from the University re-enter AUI based on the requirements, policies, and procedures of the University catalog in force at the time of re-entry. Candidates for readmission do not complete a new online application.

3. Short essay explaining activities since last enrollment at AUI

4. Official transcript(s) if studies were pursued or work certificate(s) if applicable
