International Applicants (Candidats Internationaux)


At Al Akhawayn University, you are considered an international student if you are not a Moroccan citizen regardless of your place of residence. To prevent delays, you should arrange to have timely completion of all the required documents and test scores submitted to the Office of Admissions and Outreach well in advance of the application deadline.

Applicants whose primary language of instruction was not English are required to submit the results of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (see English Language Proficiency)

International candidates with good academic achievements may have direct admission.

N.B: Placement tests in Arabic, French and English writing will be administered to undergraduate applicants, where appropriate for course placement.

How to apply ?
1. Complete and submit an on-line Application: www.aui.ma/admissions
2. Send the required documents by mail to the Admissions & Outreach Office, P.O BOX 104 Avenue Hassan II Al Akhawayn University, Ifrane 53000 – Morocco:
• Official transcript of the last three years of high school (grades 9 through 12 for US-type high schools )
• High school diploma immediately upon being conferred (High school diplomas based on distance education, GED and similar tests are not accepted towards admission)
• Two Copies of passport
• Six passport size recent color photographs
• Short essay of 200 to 300 words explaining why you wish to join Al Akhawayn University
 
How to pay the application and TOEFL fees
Copy of the payment receipt of application fee of 500 DH and TOEFL fee of 480 DH (if the candidate wishes to take it at AUI). The money order should be done via Western Union in the name of: « Samira Rhioui, Business Office, Al Akhawayn University 53000, IFRANE, Morocco ». Western union will give you an MTCN number that you need to email to us to pick up the money from the post office on campus. International Graduate
How to apply ?
1. Complete and submit an on-line Application: www.aui.ma/admissions
2. Send the required documents by mail to the Admissions & Outreach Office, P.O BOX 104 Avenue Hassan II Al Akhawayn University, Ifrane 53000 – Morocco:
 
• Official university transcript(s)
• Certified copy of High School Diploma;( High school diplomas based on distance education, GED and similar tests are not accepted for admission purposes)
• Certified copy of Bachelor degree (or equivalent)
• Instructor Recommendation
• Two original essays in English. In the first essay, explain the reasons behind choosing your graduate program. In the second, discuss a situation where you have assumed major responsibilities. Each essay should be about 500 words long.
• Two Copies of passport
• Six passport size recent color photographs
• Detailed CV
• Copy of the payment receipt of application fee of 500 DH and TOEFL fee of 480 DH (if the candidate wishes to take it in AUI). International Transfer & Provisional Transfer

2. Send the required documents by mail to the Admissions & Outreach Office, P.O BOX 104 Avenue Hassan II Al Akhawayn University, Ifrane 53000 – Morocco: 
• Certified copy of high school diploma (High school diplomas based on distance education, GED and similar tests are not accepted towards admission)
• Official transcripts of all university level course work completed and/or attempted
• Official university catalog and syllabi of all transferable courses
• Two Copies of identity card, “CIN” (passport for internationals)
• Six passport size recent color photographs
• Short essay of 200 to 300 words long explaining why you wish to join Al Akhawayn University.

  • Certified copy of high school diploma (High school diplomas based on distance education, GED and similar tests are not accepted towards admission)
  • Official transcripts of all university level course work completed and/or attempted
  • Approval from  your registrar's office to take the selected courses at AUI
  • Two Copies of identity card, “CIN” (passport for internationals)
  • Six passport size recent color photographs
  • Short essay of 200 to 300 words long explaining why you wish to join Al Akhawayn University.
  • Copy of the payment receipt of application fee of 500 DH and TOEFL fee of 480 DH (if the candidate wishes to take it in AUI).
